About Gaza Strip, Palestine
Gaza faces an unprecedented humanitarian crisis with over 2 million people in desperate need of aid. The ongoing blockade and military operations have devastated civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, water treatment facilities, and housing. Over 80% of families now depend entirely on humanitarian aid for survival. The healthcare system has been pushed to breaking point, with critical shortages of medicine, surgical supplies, and functioning medical equipment. Children make up nearly half the population, and many have known nothing but conflict throughout their lives. Food insecurity is rampant — families queue for hours at distribution points, and malnutrition rates among children under five have reached alarming levels. The psychological toll is immense, with widespread PTSD and trauma requiring sustained mental health support that is simply unavailable. Despite these challenges, our local partners maintain operations throughout the crisis, delivering aid Hand2Hand to verified families in every accessible area.
