About Syria
After over a decade of devastating conflict, Syria remains one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Over 14 million people — more than half the pre-war population — need humanitarian assistance, with millions displaced both internally and as refugees in neighbouring countries. The conflict has destroyed critical infrastructure including hospitals, schools, water systems, and power grids. Entire cities have been reduced to rubble, and reconstruction efforts remain stalled. The economic collapse has pushed the Syrian pound to record lows, making basic goods unaffordable for most families. Winters are particularly brutal for displaced families living in makeshift camps and unfinished buildings without heating or proper insulation. Children have lost years of education, creating a generation at risk of illiteracy and exploitation. Food insecurity affects over 12 million Syrians, with many surviving on one meal per day. Our experienced Syrian relief partners navigate the complex operating environment to reach families in accessible areas with food, shelter, and medical supplies.
Delivery Method: We work with established Syrian relief organizations operating in accessible areas, ensuring aid reaches those most in need safely and efficiently.
Why This Matters
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for every Muslim whose wealth exceeds the Nisab threshold. Our Zakat Distribution project ensures your Zakat reaches verified eligible recipients through direct cash distribution.
We work with local scholars and community leaders to carefully identify individuals who fall into the Quranic categories of Zakat eligibility. Cash is distributed directly — not through intermediaries — ensuring 100% reaches the intended recipients.
How We Distribute Zakat
- Verification — Local scholars identify eligible recipients
- Documentation — Each recipient is registered and verified
- Distribution — Cash delivered Hand2Hand with photo proof
- Reporting — Donors receive confirmation of distribution
Who Receives Zakat?
The Quran specifies eight categories: the poor, the needy, Zakat administrators, those whose hearts are to be reconciled, slaves, debtors, in the cause of Allah, and wayfarers.
We have been displaced three times. Your charity is keeping us alive.
