More than a meal

Food today. A little less worry tomorrow.

For a family struggling to afford food, every meal matters. A freshly prepared meal meets an immediate need. A food pack brings staple ingredients into the home, giving families more choice in how they feed themselves.

Through Muslims In Need, you can give food packs, hot meals, bread and other food essentials. The available projects and prices vary by country, so you can support a specific community in the way it needs.

Why food relief matters

Food is the start of everything.

01

Immediate nourishment

A hot meal helps someone facing hunger today.

02

Relief for families

Food packs provide essentials that households can use to prepare meals.

03

Dignity and choice

Food support can ease pressure on household budgets and help families focus on other needs.

Different ways to help

Ways you can feed someone.

From a single hot meal to food for many families, choose the kind of help that suits you.

Family food packs

Essential food supplies that families can use in their own kitchens.

Hot meals

A prepared meal for someone who needs food today.

Bread and flour

Everyday staples for households and community distributions.

Community meals

Give towards larger food distributions where listed.

Other food essentials

Help provide meat or infant feeding supplies where available.

Give with compassion

Sharing food is an act of Sadaqah.

Feeding someone in need is a meaningful act of care. Whether you give a hot meal or help provide food supplies, your gift makes practical support possible.

Choose Sadaqah on the donation page, or Zakat for food programmes that are specifically marked as eligible.

How much does it cost to provide food?

Prices vary by country and food type. Select a country above to see each available meal, food pack or other food project and its exact price.

Can I contribute less than the full food-pack price?

Yes. Choose a food project, then select a contribution on our donation page. A smaller contribution supports the food project rather than buying a complete package.

Can I give on behalf of someone?

Yes. The donation form lets you add an optional name or dedication when choosing your gift.

Can I pay monthly or spread the cost?

Our donation form shows the payment options available for your selected project, including monthly or fixed-term options when supported.

Can I give Zakat towards food aid?

Zakat is available for food projects that Muslims In Need has confirmed as eligible. Check the label on each option and make your intention on the donation page.

Can I pay by bank transfer or add Gift Aid?

Yes. Choose bank transfer on the donation page to receive instructions and a project reference. Eligible UK taxpayers can complete Gift Aid at online checkout, or use our Gift Aid declaration after a bank transfer.
