After more than a year of brutal fighting, the situation in Sudan has deteriorated to unimaginable levels. The violence, which began in the capital of Khartoum, has spread to other regions, leaving millions of people displaced.
Families have fled their homes in search of safety, with over half of them forced to live in temporary camps. Many of these camps are overcrowded and unsanitary, with limited access to food, clean water, and shelter. Sudan is now home to the largest child displacement crisis in the world, with children making up half of the displaced population. These children are at risk of hunger, disease, and exploitation as the conflict continues to rage.
The conflict has devastated Sudan’s infrastructure, with hospitals, schools, and agricultural land destroyed. Entire communities have been cut off from aid, leaving them to face this crisis alone. People are starving, disease is rampant, and the death toll is rising.
