About Yemen
Yemen is experiencing the world's largest humanitarian crisis, with over 21.6 million people — two-thirds of the entire population — needing assistance. Years of conflict have destroyed infrastructure, collapsed the healthcare system, and pushed millions to the brink of famine. Only half of health facilities remain functional, and those that operate face chronic shortages of medicine and equipment. Over 17.4 million Yemenis are food insecure, with 5 million at emergency levels. Children bear the heaviest burden — 11.3 million need humanitarian assistance, and malnutrition rates are among the highest in the world. Clean water is scarce, with damaged water infrastructure leaving millions dependent on unsafe sources. Cholera and other waterborne diseases remain constant threats. The economic collapse has left millions without income, unable to afford even basic food items at inflated market prices. Our local Yemeni partners have maintained operations throughout the crisis, delivering food packs, clean water, and emergency supplies to the most vulnerable communities.
Delivery Method: We work with experienced local Yemeni partners who can navigate the complex operating environment to reach vulnerable communities.
Why This Matters
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for every Muslim whose wealth exceeds the Nisab threshold. Our Zakat Distribution project ensures your Zakat reaches verified eligible recipients through direct cash distribution.
We work with local scholars and community leaders to carefully identify individuals who fall into the Quranic categories of Zakat eligibility. Cash is distributed directly — not through intermediaries — ensuring 100% reaches the intended recipients.
How We Distribute Zakat
- Verification — Local scholars identify eligible recipients
- Documentation — Each recipient is registered and verified
- Distribution — Cash delivered Hand2Hand with photo proof
- Reporting — Donors receive confirmation of distribution
Who Receives Zakat?
The Quran specifies eight categories: the poor, the needy, Zakat administrators, those whose hearts are to be reconciled, slaves, debtors, in the cause of Allah, and wayfarers.
My children were malnourished. The food packs you sent saved their lives.
