MUSLIMS IN NEED / OUR PROMISE
100%of your donation.
For the cause.
You give because you want to help someone. Our promise is that your donation to a charitable project is used for that purpose, not deducted to cover routine administration.
OUR WORK, IN PEOPLE'S HANDS
01 / THE PROMISE
A promise you can understand.
A 100% Donation Policy means a donation made for a charitable project is allocated to that project and the people it serves.
Running a charity involves real costs: staff, systems, fundraising and everyday administration. Our policy is to meet those costs through separately designated sources, instead of taking them from your project donation.
That distinction matters. You can choose to support relief work with confidence, while other supporters help keep the charity running.
02 / HOW IT'S POSSIBLE
The costs are real.
The funding is separate.
Behind every delivery is an organisation that needs to function. Here's how operational support can be funded without drawing on your designated project gift.
Separate administration fund
Administration has its own designated sources of support, separate from donations made for charitable projects.
Institutional grants
Grant-making bodies and institutions can contribute towards organisational costs independently of project donations.
Corporate partnerships
Business partners can provide support specifically for practical and operational costs.
Dedicated supporters
Some supporters choose to contribute specifically to administration, allowing project donations to remain dedicated to their intended causes.
ANOTHER WAY TO HELP
Your £1 remains your £1.
Gift Aid can do more.
If you pay enough qualifying UK tax, an eligible personal donation may allow MiN to claim an additional 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give. Gift Aid costs you nothing extra and does not reduce your original donation.

Zakat belongs to those entitled to receive it.
Zakat is an obligation with its own religious conditions. Your intention matters, as does the way your donation is distributed.
DEDICATED PROGRAMME
Zakat cash distribution
Help reaches people who have been assessed as eligible, with direct cash assistance that lets recipients prioritise their own essential needs.
Cash distribution describes our dedicated Zakat cash programme. Other eligible Zakat programmes may use different approved forms of assistance, as described in our published Zakat policy. Zakat should only be chosen for an eligible programme.

05 / QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Clear answers.
No small print.
If there's something you'd like to understand in more detail, you can always ask our team.
Speak to Muslims In Need →Does 100% mean the charity has no running costs?
No. Staff, administration, systems and the practical work of operating a charity all involve costs. Our policy is to cover routine running costs through separately designated support, rather than taking funds from your chosen charitable project.
Is Gift Aid taken from my donation?
No. Gift Aid is an additional amount eligible charities can claim from HMRC on qualifying donations. It costs you nothing extra and does not reduce the amount you donate.
Is every Zakat donation distributed as cash?
The dedicated Zakat Distribution (Cash) programme provides direct cash assistance to eligible recipients. Our wider published Zakat policy also describes other qualifying forms of help. Choose Zakat only where the receiving programme is eligible.
What about card processing fees?
Online payment providers may charge transaction fees. If your checkout offers an option to cover those fees, it is shown separately. For a question about how fees are handled on a particular payment, please contact our team.
Can I donate towards administration instead?
Yes. Supporters who want to help pay for the charity's running costs can contact our team about a separately designated administration donation.
How do I know my donation is being used?
We share information about our projects and relief work through updates and field reporting. For questions about a specific donation or allocation, contact our team with your donation reference.
Where can I read the Zakat policy?
You can read the published Zakat policy or speak with our team if you have a question about an eligible programme.
A PROMISE WORTH KEEPING
Give with trust.
Give with purpose.
Your generosity should mean something tangible. Choose the cause that matters to you.
