Aqeeqah FAQ
Aqeeqah is traditionally performed on the 7th day after a child's birth, but can be done at any time. There is no expiry - even an adult can have Aqeeqah performed for them.
Two animals for a boy and one animal for a girl, according to the majority of scholars. The animals must be sheep or goats that meet the same Shariah requirements as Qurbani.
The meat is distributed Hand2Hand to the poorest families in Syria by our local team. Distribution follows the same rigorous process as Qurbani - prioritising orphans, widows, and the most vulnerable. You receive photo feedback after the sacrifice.
