A cow share refers to one-seventh of a cow sacrificed as Qurbani. Based on the hadith narrated by Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), a cow or camel can be shared among up to seven people, each person's share counting as a complete Qurbani. This makes cow Qurbani more affordable and also yields more meat for distribution. Each participant must have the correct intention for their share.
How Cow Shares Work
When you purchase a 1/7 cow share, you are paying for one-seventh of a cow. Six other donors pay for the remaining shares. Each participant receives the full reward of a complete Qurbani sacrifice.
